Retail giant, Target has appointed its HR Director as the new Chief of Stores following the sudden dismissal of Tina Tyler.
The Wall Street Journal report that the firm’s Chief Executive Brian Cornell fired Tyler on Monday before announcing the appointment of Human Resources Executive, Janna Potts to take over the role.
Tyler, who has been with Target for 30 years, will stand down as of 9th January. Potts will assume the role with immediate effect.
The move is considered to be part of the ongoing changes being implemented by Cornell. The CEO began his tenure in 2014 and has steadily been transforming the Board.
