'Vegan only' job advert mocked online

Job adverts seem to have taken an odd turn of late. As such, one employer claims to be hiring candidates with very specific dietary requirements.

A job listing appearing on Seek, an Australian career site, claims to be looking for a Personal Assistant who, among other things, must be entirely vegan. The advert, placed by a man known only as Jonathon, promises that the successful candidate will receive $27 (£13.19) an hour and will be hired with immediate effect.

The full advert reads: “Hi potential candidate, thanks for viewing this ad. I’m seeking [a] bright vegan with at least four years’ experience, to join our team and work 30 to 40 hours a week for the next four weeks, with the potential to work casually after that.    

“The work will be performed at Additour, with much of the proceeds that are gained by Additour being used to create a clear and free way of life with Freewill.”
