The perils of commuting
The birth of Jesus Christ drew spectators from the farthest corners of the land. Shepherds, angels, wise men and kings, each had travelled long and far to glimpse the new-born baby and his mother. It is generally accepted that the Biblical Magi, the three kings, had the longest journey to Bethlehem having decided the best course of action was to follow a star across a desert.
Commuting can seem like a drag some days. Whether it’s a jolting camel ride or an overcrowded tube platform, getting to and from your required destination is often more tiring than the actual end result. If employees and colleagues are having a tough time of getting into work, it’s HR’s duty to help them make the transition easier. An engaged and appreciated workforce is a productive one.
