A lack of sleep is affecting more UK employees than ever before; with one in three Britons experiencing poor sleep at some point in their lives, according to a study.
Big Health, a behavioural problem solving company, found that 60% of people who suffer from sleepless nights do nothing to remedy the situation, even though this equates to them losing on average 14.6 days of work every single year.
The research also found that poor sleep is a “productivity killer” when employees return to the office.
A restless night’s sleep has also been found to affect a workers level of morale and satisfaction, with respondents admitting they lacked energy and were more likely to argue with colleagues and loved ones. A further one in five people asked claimed they had actually fallen asleep whilst driving last year.
