The CIPD has announced that Sir Cary Cooper will be taking over as President.
Cooper was elected for the role as President at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting yesterday. The role involves supporting the company with its mission to champion better working lives by promoting the importance of good people management and development.
His previous involvement with the CIPD has been on matters relating to the wellbeing and creating better workplaces. He opened the CIPD’s Annual Conference in November 2015 with a keynote speech on wellbeing at work.
Peter Cheese, CIPD CEO said: “We are thrilled to officially welcome Cary into the CIPD family. As an ambassador at the highest level with a natural ability to inspire those around him, Cary’s passion for wellbeing in the workplace is second to none.
