Tesco HR Director quits in shock departure

Tesco has lost another senior figure in less than a week, according to an exclusive report by The Independent.

Judith Nelson, HR Director for Tesco, quit on Thursday, with employees informed of the news by People Officer Alison Horner. The shock departure follows the resignation of Jill Easterbrook, former Group Business Transformation Director, who had been in her role for less than a year.

Easterbrook was responsible for over 300,000 workers, both in retail and in warehouses, as well as being a key member of the Executive Board.

According to the Independent, Nelson had been with Tesco since she was a teenager, joining as a graduate trainee and rising up to executive HR level. As HR Director, Nelson was responsible for the largest private sector workforce in the UK.
