How to retain top salespeople

Getting the best salespeople to work at your company doesn’t end at recruitment. The next step is being able to retain them.

That is according to Nick Peacock. He is the Owner and Managing Director of Ascendant Recruitment. Peacock told Executive Grapevine: “In a seminar I attended recently, the speaker made reference to the fact that as many as 50% of salespeople decide to leave their jobs in December.”

The recruitment agency Owner continues, claiming that contrary to popular belief, “money is not always the main reason a great salesperson chooses to leave their employer.”

He continues: “Research shows that while money might well be a contributing factor, it is just one of the measuring sticks a person uses to judge how much their contribution is valued.”
