McDonald's former employees reveal culture of engagement

McDonald’s, and the restaurant industry as a whole, has a bad reputation for retention and employee engagement.

However, recent emails to The Lad Bible have revealed that staff felt the restaurant chains employee engagement was second to none. Readers were asked to detail their time there, with the resulting tales of employee engagement debunking the myths that surround employment there.  

Ryan Hewitt, who is now a Managing Partner for a HR consulting firm, said it was “the best job I’ve ever had.”

He credited the company with “[teaching] me how to be a manager.”
