Night terrors over talent, hallucinations over people strategy and abhorrence over L&D… these are just some of the phantasmagoria that stops HR professionals from sleeping.
A recent study by SilkRoad (What keeps HR up At Night?) asked senior HR professionals what their biggest causes of work-based insomnia were.
55% said engaging and retaining employees, 40% said developing leaders and managing skills gap, and 43% said recruiting the best employees. Only three per cent said they have no concerns at all.
The study explains: “Respondents say they are most concerned about linking the success of new hires to the L&D of the employee and understanding how that process can be measured in performance management.”
