Barclays appoints Group HR Director

Barclays has announced a new Group HR Director, who will be starting with immediate effect.

Tristram Roberts has previously been a Partner at Deloitte (2003 to 2006) and KPMG (1999 to 2003).

Roberts said on the appointment: “I am delighted to be chosen to lead Barclays' HR function. It is an especially exciting time to do so as we enter a new phase in the business' evolution under Jes Staley. I look forward to working with him, with my colleagues on the Executive Committee, and with everyone in HR to build a successful Barclays, well regarded by all our stakeholders.”

Staley, Barclays Group CEO, said: “Tristram has served as Interim Group HR Director since October this year and has already proved a highly effective member of the Group Executive Committee and leader for the HR function.
