Zoo staff give coats to animals after power cut

Employees at a zoo have been giving blankets and jackets to animals after a five-day power cut in southern Ukraine has left them without any electricity or heating.

Showing a caring, inter-species company culture, hoodies, jumpers and blankets were given to the animals.

However, some of the recipients had difficulty understand what the garments were for, with one monkey trying to put the arms of a jumper on his legs. Others took to the clothes instantly, curling up in balls underneath the outfits. Tigers were also helped, whilst flamengos huddled together. 

Temperatures currently stand between 12 and 15 degrees. But, as some of the animals are tropical, they are struggling to adapt to the non-modified climate.
