BuzzFeed hire Chief People Officer from Google

Google’s Head of People Operations EMEA G&A has left to become Chief People Officer at BuzzFeed.

Lenke Taylor had been at Google since January 2010. She has also worked for NBC Universal as VP HR APAC from April 2008 to May 2009, and VP HR from May 2009 to January 2010.

According to a staff memo from BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti, Taylor will be relocating from London to New York for the role.

The full memo, provided by BuzzFeed to techcrunch.com, says: “Lenke will oversee recruiting, HR, diversity, and learning and enrichment, and will work closely with Jasmin and rest of the HR team who have done a tremendous job during this transition.
