40% of employees aged 18-35 would gladly take a pay cut if it meant they could work outside of the conventional nine to five parameters, according to a study.
The report by join.me, which analysed mobile usage and productivity, found that the UK workforce no longer wants to be confined to the typical five day work week and is instead calling for flexibility.
Following the success of Sweden’s six-hour working day Stephen Duignan, VP at LogMeIn, looks at why the European approach to work-life balance is leaving England in the dust.
“A sustainable structure to get more done in a shorter space of time, the six-hour day is already delivering significant returns for companies in Sweden, not least in employee satisfaction,” explains Duignan. “For their UK counterparts then, would adopting the same working practices improve productivity?
