An enthusiastic home brewer has landed himself his dream job by sending a beer bottle, with his résumé attached, to his prospective employer.
While most candidates may be satisfied by simply filling in an application and emailing a cover letter alongside their CV, Liam Tutty took it one step further when he applied for his dream job.
Tutty works in digital media and brews his own beer. When he saw that the Rye River Brewing Company in Kilcock was going to expand, Tutty figured that there might be a place for him with the company.
To show his enthusiasm, the 32-year old recreated one of the brewery’s most famous beer bottles. Instead of having the iconic McGargles logo, Tutty put a sticker with his own face and the words “Liam wants a job” on the bottle. The bottle also had a web address which linked to a beer-themed page showcasing Tutty's experience. He sent it to Niall Phelan who is the Founder of the brewery.
