With the festive season around the corner, companies across Britain are preparing to host their annual Christmas parties. But managers need to be aware of the potential HR nightmares those parties can turn into.
The Metro reports that retailer Joe Browns has identified the most common social faux pas committed by employees at Christmas parties.
20% admitted to having vomited at a party. Others confessed to having wreaked havoc on their careers by fighting or getting intimate with colleagues. While three per cent admitted to having cheated on their significant other at Christmas parties, others confessed to having streaked, stolen things or even cried in front of their colleagues.
Out of the 20% who said that they had done something that they regretted at the party, 60% put it down to being too drunk, 20% for getting too close to a colleague, and eight per cent blamed falling over.
