London Zoo employee unfairly dismissed for attacking colleague, but will receive no compensation

A London Zoo worker who attacked a fellow member of staff was unfairly dismissed, an employment tribunal has ruled. 

However, she will not receive any compensation.

Meerkat keeper Caroline Westlake hit monkey handler Kate Saunders in the face with a glass at a Christmas party. Westlake was dating fellow colleague Adam Davies. Sanders was his ex-girlfriend. 

Westlake was duly fired. However, she then launched a lawsuit against London Zoo, citing unfair dismissal and disability discrimination.
