Nine out of ten millennials believe themselves to be tech-savvy, but most of them aren’t using the latest technology to apply for jobs. In fact, the people from Generation Z are quite likely to drop out of the recruitment process if they have to do a video interview.
That is according to the job and interviewing platform Foosle. The company has released a new report, which revealed that while recruiters can use new technology to improve their candidate experience, young candidates seemingly shun the opportunity.
1,000 adults over the age of 18 were surveyed in Great Britain. 89% of millennials claim to be to be tech-savvy. However, this doesn’t mean that they have jumped on the opportunity to use the latest tech to find employment.
15% said that the respondents claimed to have used digital tools to apply for a new role. Eight per cent of the surveyed millennials have recorded a video interview or participated in a live job interview via Skype.
