​How technology can help recruiters overcome unconscious bias

Recruiters can use recruitment technology in order to reduce bias and hire the right people for the job.

That is according to Kristie Kelly, the Director of Strategic Partnerships at LaunchPad. Kelly spoke at the RecTech 2015 event hosted by AIA Worldwide on Tuesday.

She told Recruitment Grapevine at the event: “Bias exists for a number of reasons and makes us draw conclusions based on candidates’ backgrounds, the way that they articulate themselves, and this could potentially end up being one of the parameters recruiters use to assess candidates.”

She continued to say that things like how many candidates a recruiter has interviewed and at which times during the day can influence how biased a recruiters assessment of a candidate is.
