FTSE 250 firms are 'demonstrating restraint' over executive pay

38% of FTSE 250 CEOs, and 29% of executive directors, received no pay rise last year, according to a report by Deloitte.

This is up from last year. 30% of CEOs and 27% of executive directors did not receive a pay hike in 2014.  

However, bonuses are up. The median bonus awarded was 68% of what was on offer; the figure was equivalent to 120% of their salary. Median salary decreased by 2.3%.

The report said that 85% of firms received over 90% of shareholder votes supporting the both monetary reward that was offered, and the pay decrease.
