A female contractor was told by an employee at advertising agency Leo Burnett she would not be hired after sharing an article by Daily Mail Australia on Facebook, the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) reports.
The article, titled ‘Advertising agency blasted for hiring five all-white men to top roles,’ was posted on Facebook, and was captioned with “Leo Burnett’s in the media for being a boys [sic] club #sexdiscrimination #leoburnettsyd.”
A staffer at Leo Burnett commented on the post, saying: "We almost called you about some work today. But since you have bad mouthed us without any knowledge about the female quota in the office, will think again. #burnthosebridges."
The comment has since been deleted.
