While flexible working is one of the best ways to attract talent, companies’ drive to create a remote working environment are held back by poor communication and the misuse of technology.

That is according to a new study from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). Over 1,000 remote workers were surveyed for the report.

88% of remote workers struggle with inconsistent working practises and miscommunication.

83% feel overwhelmed by emails as companies failed to use new technologies to make remote working easier, ILM states.
