44% of organisations believe that at least one member of their senior management team has lost a mobile device, laptop, or USB in the last year, says a new report.
93% of these technological instruments contained work-related information.
With Ashley Madison and TalkTalk both having been recently hacked (the former cost the CEO his job). Companies such as Disney are also bolstering their data protection units. With this taken into account, the last thing HR needs is stolen or misplaced information falling into the wrong hands.
Such situations are compounded by the fact that 32% said they had no formal policy in place detailing that devices containing private information should be encrypted or protected with a password.
