Bullying boss fired for throwing apprentice into canal

A boss who vicitimised a newly hired apprentice and threw him into a Manchester canal has been sacked.

Appearing before Manchester and Salford magistrates, Jason McAndrew’s solicitor said it was “a joke gone wrong”, Manchester Evening News reports.

The incident occurred during a work party on 20th October. Jason McAndrew, who worked at Jet2.com, proceeded to pick up the intern, called him an “apprentice b****” and ordered him to fetch cigarettes.

When the apprentice refused, McAndrew picked him up again and dangled him over the railings of the terrace they were on. He finally put him down, but only to pick him up a little later and hurl the employee into the canal.
