Three employees at a not-for-profit agency in America face termination of their employment for refusing to have a flu jab, according to NJ.com.
The site reports that Megan Duncan, Alanda Watson, and Denise Mercurius have worked at the Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey for years. However, when they declined a mandatory company injection, they were each told they could be fired.
The women claim that they are opposed to receiving a flu shot on multiple levels, and have refused the alternative of wearing a facemask, as they feel it is “embarrassing” and an “invasion of privacy” in the workplace.
Watson openly rebuked the policy, saying: “This is insane. It doesn't make sense because they're requiring the staff to wear a mask if we don't get the vaccine, but we have vendors coming in all the time, and they're not required to wear a mask or show proof of vaccination.
