The Civil Service appoints new Chief People Officer

The HR Director at Lloyds Banking Group has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer for the Civil Service.

Rupert McNeil has been working as the Group HR Director at Lloyds since 2012. Before that he was the UK HR Director at Aviva.

His appointment comes during a period of great change for the civil service, which has undergone considerable cuts to its resources.

McNeil says: “I am excited and privileged to join the Civil Service and to contribute to its transformation. I look forward to meeting and working with my new colleagues across all the Civil Service departments.”
