Staff at Air New Zealand greeted the New Zealand national rugby union team back into the country with a haka on the runway.
Air New Zealand is making the most of the quadrennial tournament by allowing staff to express themselves. Earlier in the week, workers at Qantas had to wear the All Black jersey to work following a bet with Air New Zealand. Now, the airline has embraced the celebratory mood by letting employee’s haka on the tarmac at Auckland Airport.
Sporting high-vis jackets, employees delivered the performance in the rain as the team’s plane touched down. Players were spotted recording the moment on their phones inside the plane.
