Women must shriek to be heard in Boardrooms

Businesswomen need to shriek in order to break the glass ceiling, according to a new survey.

Active Presence polled more than 400 women. The results reveal that more than half of female executives struggle to make themselves heard in the Boardrooms, Metro reports.

Chris Davidson is the Founder of Active Presence.  He told Metro: “If business Boardrooms are drowning in testosterone then it’s not surprising that women feel side-lined, belittled and undervalued.”

The statement comes as Lord Davis report revealed that the target of having 25% women on Boards has been reached. Lord Mervyn Davies has now raised the target to 33%, which is to be achieved by 2020. This new objective will apply to all FTSE350 companies. There will not be any legally enforced quotas.
