Why MI6 wouldn't hire Bond

James Bond would not be hired if he applied to work for the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), according to the Telegraph.

MI6 is launching a recruitment drive after the launch of the new Bond movie Spectre, and are hoping to attract spies who are sensitive and understand the human nature of this work.

The intelligence service warned that Bond’s lack of “emotional intelligence” and character flaws would make him unsuitable for the position.

A source for the service told BuzzFeed: “James Bond would probably not be successful in joining SIS, if he were to apply. The service he represents is not the modern reality. Teamwork is central to SIS’ ability to deliver intelligence, and heroes working alone rarely achieve much."
