Female local government workers have reached a momentous settlement to receive backdated pay.
Staff at Fife Council will receive monetary reimbursement going back to 2006. It is anticipated that the figures will be in the tens of thousands for each employee. The total figure is expected to be in double figure millions.
Fife Council said specifics will “remain confidential.”
David Ross, Council Leader, added: “There will be significant cost to the council, and we’re in the process of working through the fine detail which will lead to the final figures.
