Royal Mail manager stole vouchers from cards due to workplace stress

A Royal Mail manager has been ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid work and handed a six-month suspended sentence after admitting to two counts of fraud by false representation.

Andrew Foreman stole numerous vouchers from cards between January 2014 and April 2015. He used the vouchers in Brighton to buy car products at Halfords.

He must also pay £954 - £120 to cover Royal Mail’s court fees, £754 for investigative costs, and a victim surcharge.  

Speaking to The Argus, Foreman said: “I made a stupid mistake. I don't know why I did it. I found it difficult being in charge of a lot of people. It was a very stressful job. I didn't want to go to work; it was very difficult during the privatisation.
