Talk Talk CEO admits she could have done more to stop cyber attack

The Chief Executive of TalkTalk, Diana Mary Harding, disclosed in an interview with The Telegraph that she could have done more to prevent the cyber-attacks on customers details.

Following a mass cyber hack, TalkTalk claimed that thousands of people’s personal information had been accessed, and that the hacker was now demanding a ransom to keep the data private.

Harding claims that she would relinquish her position as CEO if the public demanded it. However, during an interview with The Guardian, she also went on to say that TalkTalk’s cyber security was “head and shoulders” above their competitors.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Harding noted: “In some ways I would love to say this is just a TalkTalk issue, I'd love to believe this is just us – but it isn't. Do I wish I'd done more? Of course I do. But would that have made a difference? If I'm honest, I don't know.
