94.1% of employees in the UK consider mentoring schemes as valuable for their careers, but only 24.8% are currently offered one by their current employer, according to CV-Library.
When ranked against his X Factor colleagues, Simon Cowell came out as first choice of mentor with 54.5%. 73.9% of those surveyed also said he would also help advance their careers the quickest.
Cowell has previously helped an employee in need. She bunked off work to attend an audition, and was subsequently dismissed. After hearing this news, Cowell personally phoned her boss to ask for a reprieve.
42% said they would avoid Nick Grimshaw altogether, while 30% said Cheryl Fernandez-Versini would be the best to work with in an office.
