1 in 4 millennials would steal from employer for personal gain

Almost one in four millennials said they would take from an employer if it positively benefited them, according to new research.

In comparison to Baby Boomers (5%) and Gen X (those born after the SWW baby boom) (12%), Millennials (23%) were most likely to steal data from their employers.

The research by Intermedia, found that 44% of Millennials have access to applications and systems from their previous job, with 39% saying it is confidential information. 22% said they accessed it after leaving and only 10% said they deleted it.

However, these figures were lower for Baby Boomers (16%) and Gen X (30%).
