The 'trick' recruiters miss when they talk to candidates

Recruiters are “missing a trick” when they don’t discuss the company’s benefits during the recruitment process.

That is according Chris Wakely, Senior Vice President EMEA at Thomsons Online Benefits.

Other people in the industry may advise recruiters to offer flexibility, autonomy and a morally correct workplace. But Wakely believes that there is another thing that recruiters should talk about more.

He tells Recruitment Grapevine: “Many businesses are missing a trick in not engaging prospective employees in their benefits offering during recruitment stages. Social media and websites such as Glassdoor have increased transparency around organisations’ reward strategies.
