United Continental CEO suffers heart-attack just a month after taking up the role

United Continental’s new Chief Executive Officer has suffered a heart-attack just a month after stepping up to lead the troubled airline.

Oscar Munoz reportedly suffered a heart-attack on Thursday. The 56-year old’s condition has prompted speculation about who will lead the company in an interim capacity, Reuters reported.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Board was waiting to meet until it had more information about the severity of the CEO’s health.

The newspaper cited an “informed individual” who said that the heart attack had been mild and that Munoz could be back on his feet in two weeks.
