Lollipop Lady resigns after ice cream-related 'misconduct'

A Lollipop Lady has quit her job after a row over an ice cream.

Christine Sully was seen eating an ice cream after a shift. A few days later she was called into the head teacher’s office, where she was told that she should not have been eating the ice cream near her place of work whilst in uniform.

Guidelines for School Crossing Patrol (SCP) say: “The uniform provided must be worn whenever an SCP is on duty and at no other time for any other purpose.”

Speaking about the incident, Tully said: “My brother came to pick me up on a glorious day and asked me if I’d like an ice cream.
