Despite being cleared of ‘bullying and harassment’ by a force-ordered investigation, an Assistant Chief Officer of HR at South Yorkshire Police will still be probed on the matter.
According to The Sheffield Star, two officers and four other members of staff are understood to have complained about the conduct of Ian Watson, who is Assistant Chief Officer of HR for both Humberside and South Yorkshire Police.
The complaints were initially made last year. The subsequent inquiry was conducted by Sharon Ault of Nottinghamshire Police, with a follow-up report then carried out by Wilkin Chapman Solicitors.
Both forces have refused to publish either of the reports, and both also refused a Freedom of Information (FoI) request from the paper. Humberside police said investigations concluded that he had “no case to answer for.”
