Job candidate outraged by Jimmy Savile interview question

A jobseeker was left shocked after she was asked to argue in favour of Jimmy Savile during an interview.

According to the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N), Rachel Silver was offered a job interview for a Breakdown Cover Sales Role at RAC, Stretford. 

During the interview Silver was given the names of three celebrities and asked to argue why they would be good leaders for an advertising campaign. The 28-year-old successfully gave reasons for Alex Ferguson and Lewis Hamilton, but was left outraged when she was asked to do the same for Jimmy Savile.

Despite the female assistant present at the interview requesting the Manager to stop, he carried on. Eventually, Silver replied:  “Why would you want him backing the RAC after what he has done?” The interview moved to the next question but the candidate was left traumatised.
