Urban Outfitters have asked for staff vounteers to work for free at weekends, suggesting it would make a good “teambuilding activity” for co-workers.
This has been discovered via an email obtained by Gawker. It was sent by URBN, the parent company that owns Urban Outfitters.
Volunteers for the task will “pick, pack and prepare packages for shipment,” in what will be “a great way to experience our fulfilment operations first hand.” While those who undertake the task may not be receiving any pay, travel and lunch will be provided.
