A fraudulent recruiter has been accused of stealing both identities and urine from job candidates who applied for bogus jobs.
Gerald Washington is accused of launching a scam to steal the identities of 30 job applicants. He allegedly rented office space and posted job ads online which said Howard Enterprises was looking to hire 1,000 people in the Tallahassee area, WCTV reports.
The police claim that Washington invited candidates for interviews. He is said to have collected social security numbers, bank account information, a $25 (£16.30) fee, and even urine samples from the job applicants.
The police teamed up with the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to break the case.
