John Lewis’ Chairman, Sir Charlie Mayfield, believes company Boards would benefit from more representation from workers.
Mayfield revealed his stance on the matter at a recent panel discussion at the Institute of Directors’ annual conference, City A.M. reported.
He said: “You get a better balance than would exist otherwise and perspectives that wouldn’t be otherwise brought.”
His statement was a response to Frances O’Grady, the General Secretary of the Trade Union Congress.
