'Bored' Alan Sugar walked out of first interview with Claude Littner

Lord Alan Sugar walked out of his first interview with The Apprentice's Claude Littner, muttering one word: “Bored.”

While Littner has a reputation as one of the toughest interviewers on The Apprentice, the Viglen Chairman was also the subject of a terrible interview himself – with no other than Sugar.

Littner told his story to Radio Times. The businessman described how he met the billionaire for an interview and how things quickly seemed to take a turn for the worse.

Littner said: “He had my CV in front of him. We sat at a table and he didn’t look at me at all. He didn’t ask me any questions, so after a few minutes I said: ‘Would you like me to tell you a bit about myself?’
