Are staff in France so underworked they're depressed?

An academic believes that staff in France are so underworked that they may become depressed.

According to The Times, Christian Bourion, a Senior Professor at Nancy Metz ICN Business School, believes that, due to work, French employees are getting “de-structured personalities.” This is resulting in psychological trauma as a result of boredom.

He developed a system that recognises certain phrases that chime with boredom in the workplace.

He found that there has been an increase in workers moaning about their time at work. In 2011, the phrase “bored at work” arose 184,000 times. In 2015 it came up 542,000 times.
