Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fighting back against a lawsuit brought against them by a former intern.
Shahista Lalani has taken the famous twins to court alleging that the pair force their interns to work 50 hours-a-week without pay. Lalani suggested that the Olsen’s company, Dualstar Entertainment Group, refused to give the students adequate pay or university credits despite the gruelling tasks and lengthy work days.
In response, Dualstar released a statement saying: “The allegations in the complaint filed against Dualstar are groundless, and Dualstar will vigorously defend itself against plaintiff’s claims in court, not before the media. Dualstar is confident that once the true facts of this case are revealed, the lawsuit will be dismissed in its entirety.”
In documents obtained by The Daily Mail, it has been revealed that the Olsen’s are now demanding the lawsuit be thrown out of court entirely. The actresses are also requesting that the former intern pay all of their legal fees.
