Deutsche Bank criticised for naming gender equality conference 'Men Matter'

Deutsche Bank has been come under fire for calling its annual Women in Business conference ‘Men Matter.’

The Women in Asian Business conference has been running for five years, and took place last Tuesday.

Similar in intention to the United Nations’ HeForShe campaign, the aim was to examine the: "essential contributions men can make towards levelling the playing field for women in the workplace."

Twitter user Zatapatique tweeted this: “If you like your corporate diversity efforts with a dash of tone deafness, highly recommend [Deutsche Bank’s] … #menmatter.”
