How to recruit top talent using social media

Social media is great way to connect to potential candidates. But recruiters are yet to take full advantage of these opportunities, according to one social media expert.

Adam Gordon is the Managing Director at the Norman Broadbent company Social Media Search. The biggest mistake recruiters make, according to Gordon, is to not have a LinkedIn presence at all. And if they do have a profile, then they are likely to be using it incorrectly. For instance, some employers ask people to join their talent pools, something that Gordon disagrees with.

Recruitment Grapevine asked him to list the most important things recruiters could do to boost their recruitment on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
