A quarter of staff have quit after boss hid information

80.4% of workers want their bosses to share more information with them, new research suggests.

28% believed that the absence of company information derived from their superiors playing power games, and 26% had left their job as a result of poor transparency, according to research from Geckoboard.

52% of respondents have resorted to their own detective work to uncover what’s going on in their company.

Speaking to HR Grapevine, Paul Joyce, CEO of Geckoboard, says: “Performance data needs to be available to everybody - not just the CEO or managers - in your business, if it’s going to have the biggest impact on success. Even if the data tells a negative story it’s still worth sharing.
