Junior doctors to earn less than McDonald's workers

Junior doctors could soon be earning less than employees at McDonald's, if a new contract is passed which determines a huge pay cut.

An NHS proposal could mean that the young medics will suffer a 30% wage decrease, putting them in the same pay bracket as a McDonald’s manager. The bill will also recommend that their normal working hours are extended to 7am to 10pm between Monday to Saturday, which means that all bonuses and overtime for working unsociable hours will be lost.
