Matt Damon has apologised for interrupting a black female producer to lecture her about diversity. At the same time he congratulated himself for starting a diversity debate in Hollywood.

The 44-year old actor came under fire after engaging in a debate about racial sensitivity in the reality show Project Greenlight. The show is about first time filmmakers getting coached by industry veterans.
