More LinkedIn users come forward to share inappropriate messages

Last week everyone had an opinion on Alexander Carter-Silk’s LinkedIn message to Charlotte Proudman.

Our readers were split down the middle. Simon was baffled at Proudman’s interpretation of his message: “In what way is that an offensive remark? It has no sexual inference. The remark describes the picture, not the person.”

Molly disagreed, saying: “On a professional network such as LinkedIn, I think his message was definitely inappropriate. It is sexist, since he wouldn't say the same about a young good-looking male who was looking to connect for networking reasons only.”

Other women have now come forward with similar stories. Designer Amy Hanbidge Tweeted a message from an ‘advertising entrepreneur’ which read: “Got a boyfriend?”
